And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive…Matthew 21:22
Last week was a trying time for Sheree and I. Everything was going as it usually does until Wednesday night. She sat in her usual spot and I facilitated the class like I normally do. When I looked at her a couple of times, I recognized she wasn’t herself.
After Bible study, she told me she was in a lot of pain. We drove home and I knew it was serious when she didn’t respond to one of her favorite gospel songs named “Look Up Child” recorded by Lauren Daigle playing on the radio.
When we woke up Thursday morning Sheree was feeling even worse. So she wound up being admitted into the hospital. We prayed for healing starting Wednesday night after bible study and we continued in prayer backed by our family at New Gardners Church Of God In Christ.
Sheree was diagnosed with a small bowel obstruction. She remained in the hospital, all the while expressing a strong desire to attend church. I went home on Saturday to clean up and wash our clothes and the Holy Ghost gave me a strong thought to call her and ask her what she wanted to wear to church. She told me and I got her things ready.
She called me on Sunday morning and said she was being discharged because the blockage was cleared! I took her clothes to her, she got dressed, and we went to church from the hospital. When we got there, Sheree spent 10-15 minutes giving God praise for her healing.
Jesus said if we pray believing, we would receive it. I’m so glad I have a friend who keeps His promises and does what He says.
